"This was something we will remember forever, and it has inspired us to do more and get involved in more areas to help with foster care and adoption!" - Lannie Lambert, 2010 Angel in Adoption™
Do you know someone who has improved the life of a child through foster care and/or adoption? Would you like to nominate them to a Congressional Office because of their dedication to improving the lives of children? Nominate them as an Angel in Adoption™!
Through the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Instiute's (CCAI) Angels in Adoption™ program, Members of Congress are invited to select an individual, couple, or organization from their state or district who has made an extraordinary contribution on behalf of children in need of homes. In order to maintain the quality of this program, we need your knowledge of outstanding people or organizations to be passed along to your Members of Congress. Without your nominations, this program would not be possible!Members can choose any entity they wish to honor with the Angels in Adoption™ award. In the past these entities have included, but are not limited to: -juvenile court judges -nonprofit organizations -family court judges -members of the media -social workers -business people -adoption advocates -former foster youth -foster or adoptive parents -adoptees -advocacy groups -attorneys
To suggest someone be honored as an Angel, you can:
Contact the Congressional office directly. Use this nomination letter and submit it to your nominee's Members of Congress. To locate the correct Congressional offices, have your nominee's address available and click here.
IMPORTANT: CCAI does not choose nor endorse who is going to be an Angels in Adoption™, we simply pass on the information you submit to the appropriate Members of Congress. The more nominations Congressional offices receive, the more Angels celebrated this year! Please note the deadline to submit nominations is July 6.
